Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if counselling is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis or have a clear reason to start therapy. Many people come to counselling because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or want to understand themselves better. If you’re finding life feels harder than it needs to be, or you’d like support to make sense of what you’re experiencing, counselling can be a helpful space to start.
What can counselling help with?
I support adults with a range of difficulties, including relationship with food or eating, body image and self-esteem, anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, self-criticism, burnout, overwhelm, feeling stuck or disconnected, and life transitions. You don’t need to fit neatly into a category to come to therapy.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what’s bringing you to therapy. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you.
How much do sessions cost?
I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and ensure we are a good fit. Following this, individual sessions are charged at a standard rate. Please contact me directly for full details on fees and current availability.
